Masterful, beautiful work, Rick. Your comments are very poignant, so many of these things are down to the simplicity of a tulip living among other tulips. There will be those who want you to believe you are not taking things seriously. You are my friend, you are. There must be a starting point; if it is a flower so be it.

Hi Rick.... I live on a lake 45 min. to the Ivy Lea Bridge to the US of A. As a result, two thirds of my summer neighbours are American. I was talking to my American neighbor last night and he had never had so much trouble getting into Canada..... guns, guns, guns.. He has crossed so often he knows the rules. It seems we are toughening up. I love Canada and love living here. Gorgeous photograph and terrific words....

“One Tulip ~ One Canada” Yep in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday our beautiful and vast country.

It might be a little corny but in time of uncertainty, I never felt so proud to be a Canadian.... Yes like a little tulip among other tulips with so many cultural diversity from one tulip from the east to one tulip to the west. Not only we have the maple leaf but also the tulip to remind us who we are. Remember we are a people of peace, acceptance and tolerance and much more.... I see you are giggle softly while reading this but remember we live in one country called Canada and for me the best country in the world !!
