No Paul, you may have been gone, but not forgotten ! Of course looking at this my first thought was Ansel Adams... that is a meant as a true compliment. Yosemite is one unto herself and has many secret spots: valleys, shear cliffs, waterfalls and sheer power. Wonderful photograph and terrific narrative.

Late winter storm clearing in Yosemite Valley. 24 hour trips to the Valley are fun but can be tiring, especially when you leave at 8 pm, arrive at midnight, wake at 5 to catch a Tunnel View sunrise, only to get skunked by clear skies. But spending the day in the valley without the characteristic crowds is pure joy, no matter how tired. It was back up to Tunnel View for sunset, with a little rain and snow to make it a little more challenging. The little mini-storm moved through just in time for the last light playing in the mists. Then It was time to head home.

Oh, and sorry I've been away for so long. A lot of work to keep up with all the posting sites and I dare say I'm not doing such a great job. Hope I haven't been forgotten.
